Microsoft points are the digital currency you use to buy Xbox and Zune content, and you can buy cards that are pre-loaded with points to enter in to your account. Problem? Just like with the iTunes gift cards, somebody discovered the algorithm Microsoft uses to generate valid codes, and loosed it onto the internet.
People were able to use the code-generation website to make about 1 million in Microsoft point gift cards, along with other Xbox items, before Microsoft stopped it. It's a hard problem to solve, because Microsoft probably needs to go to a completely new algorithm in order to stop it. [Tech Game via Escapist via Save and Quit via Joystiq] So when you see 1million in microsoft points buy anythang you want!!!!! ill update more when i get some more newz thanks rep and thanks.....!!!!

maybe they discovered the algorithm but that doesn't mean that the codes are active,
im pretty sure that this is just bs anyway

im pretty sure that this is just bs anyway
if they found the algorithm they can randomly generate Activated codes that are maybe just scanned and the guy is on the way home... its just a theory im not sure

MS Point cards have 3 stages.
First Stage: Inactive (In shop waiting to be bought)
Second Stage: Active (scanned by shop which activates it)
Final Stage: Deactivated (Has been activated and points used)
Unless they were generating them and putting them on cards then scanning them in a shop then they did not get any.

hey dont completely shoot him down about a year ago on this site there was a microsoft generator going around for about a hour & i got around 5k msp from it even though i dont believe his story dont shoot it down completely

Its not entirly impossible. He could have put them onto his computer and SOMEHOW transfered them to an xbox live account, but that is just ridiculous, so i doubt this is real. Plus, if you have 1,000,000 MSP microsoft would ban you for marketplace theft
