someone please help imgburn keeps giving me the message "medium not present"

Are you sure that your dvd drive is a dual layer burner

You don't need a dual layer burner as long as you have a drive that is able to burn a basic cd its fine

No, actually you do have to have a Dual Layer burner, as it won't burn a Dual Layer disk.

@OP you probably have to update the firmware on your drive. To do this go to Write Mode > Tools > Drive > Check for firmware updates.

No you don't i use a standard cheep laptop to burn and mine work

EDIT: just checked mine supports Double Layer
