I have posted on this before, probably about 2 months, and as users come and go I thought I would try again. I've tried Yahoo, Mac Forums and just googling my problem. So what is my problem? Well lately as i have been running my server for MC i have noticed that instead of saying" Nic's-MacBook" or whatever it usually says, it says "kennybank~pc"

The line underlined is yellow is the part I am concerned about, and don't know if it is a 'virus'. Don't even know if Mac's can get viruses, but anyway, I also noticed this in System Preferences>Network>Airport>WINS and noticed this

Honestly the only reason I am concerned is so if this does happen to be a virus or whatever I don't want it to get my passwords for all of my 'personal' stuff. Any help is appreciated, just a concerned user who need some help. Thank you for taking the time to read this post.

Side Note: I just covered up some of the letters for my privacy and who evers name it is in terminal and System Preferences for their privacy.

I don't know what would be causing something like that, but to answer your other question:

Yes, Macs can get viruses. There just aren't a lot ( yet ) because Windows was extremely popular when all the virus stuff started and Macs just weren't.

If you have downloaded programs or .dmgs in the past couple of days remove them and restore to an earlier date
