Is the Dell XPS m1730 a good laptop to buy? I think it looks nice but it might be a little heavy. I will be gaming moderately to heavily on it and will leave it plugged in for most of the time but sometimes will take it around. Also it has a warranty until April 4, 2012. So if you guys have any ideas or feedback, please tell me, Thank you for your time.

No, Build a custom desktop gaming PC that will cost around 1250 then you can run pretty much any game of the time including battlefield

After looking at it on amazon, i noticed it looked quite ugly.

If it has only 4GB RAM in it and you want to game heavily, i would suggest getting a laptop with more RAM or see if you can upgrade your current one.

I can also see that it has 2x160GB hard drives. That's not bad but if you decide to have a lot of games and films etc on your laptop, a hard drive upgrade would be suitable.

The Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 2.5 GHz is pretty good for gaming and editing.

Overall i think its quite decent for moderate gaming. Heavy gaming i would suggest finding a new laptop.

That's just based off the specification i saw on Amazon

They might be the same as your ones or might not, i don't know since you never listed them.
