Hi TTG! i am seriously considering buying a jtag but i dont know really what to do with it other than hack cod4 and waw is there and other good sides of having a jtag?

-You can boot and play games from an external HDD or a standard XBox 360 HDD.

-You can run homebrew applications and emulators.

-You can make your console region free so that it will play games from any region (no more PAL/NTSC locks).

-Your DVD key is retrievable so you can recover from a bad flash on a drive where you didn't get the key.

yes jtags are very useful and werent intended for hosting lobbies its just a plus

people use it to play games without a disc.
i like that i can play emulators on it, i love old games. Some people do hosting.

I have a slim rgh if your interested.

While they are both valid ideas....

I have an XK3Y and a PC
Although I love JTAG's, I have never seen the draw to emulators, because I have a wired controller, and they are far more accesible on PC, and have better features for online play.

Also, as for playing without a disc, the XK3Y gives you the ability to play online, which is a massive factor for a lot of gamers.

That being said, a JTAG or RGH Console, gives you far more options not available on a stock console, that have always kept me in that loop
So it comes down to personal preferences

i heard that MS figured out how to block users with the xkey. I dont have one so i dont keep up with the news. So it still works online?
