So back in july I had a horrible leg injury caused by a friend, we were wrestling on his front lawn and I had won and told him "aw dude im tired as hell, im going inside" then out of anger or his selfishness of a poor sport he put me in a choke hold and threw me backwards and my leg and ankle snapped...my tibia, fibia, talus were snapped like a school pencil. my ankle was all the way around. medical bills have been killing my parents cause the insurance company are assholes. and I was given the option to sue him when i turn 18 this year. everything is effed up...now I have 6 titanium screws holding my lower leg together. and will walk with a limp for the rest of my life. The Question is...do I sue him? im just kinda a nice forgiving guy and I don't want to feel like a jerk. however this injury will affect the rest of my life and my family is struggling to pay the things we need. What do I do????

I would sue him, if hes a real friend he would understand why you did it and continue to be your friend.

yeah, that would be a true friend...but knowing him he would just tell me to F off so. I really think doing this would be the best thing. it would help me not lose my house and teach him to be more cautious and think before he acts cause I will only say this...i was not the only kid who got hurt from him in this time frame...

It would be for the better to sue him. It would help you with your money struggles, and teach him a lesson

If he agrees to pay for everything right on the spot I wouldn't sue him but if he can't or won't I'd sue him, I mean a permament handicap and financial struggles just because of his ego's are kind of sue worthy.

I, myself, would sue.
He has affected the rest of your life, your family has money trouble and insurnce is doing nothing. It is for the best. You have forgiven him for long enough i s'pose :/

If he is your friend, why would he snap your leg and ankle? Sue him mate. He isn't a true mate.
