On January 18th, 2012 the internet is going on strike to stop the web censorship bills in Congress! Now is our moment we need you to do everything you can, whether you have a website or not.

Bills often come in pairs, and SOPAs twin in the U.S. Senate is the Protect IP Act, or PIPA. Both bills threaten to rip apart the fabric of the Internet, compromise the planets digital security and open the doors for China-class censorship. While the SOPA brand is damaged, PIPA has yet to attract similar levels of negative attention. Its scheduled for a Senate floor vote on Jan. 24 and could easily sneak through under the radar. The most important thing for Internet activists to do, right now, is spread the word that PIPA is the new target.


Opponents of the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and the PROTECT IP Act (PIPA) are gearing up for tomorrow's Web site blackouts. A number of high-profile sites, from Reddit to Wikipedia, and Google have pledged to shut down on Jan. 18 in protest of the bills, but organizers said today that as many as 7,000 sites are planning to go dark at midnight.

According to sopastrike.com, Web sites joining the protest include Boing Boing, WordPress, and the Cheezburger network sites. From 8am to 8pm Eastern, these and other sites will return only a banner with information about SOPA.

So you're saying you could care less if both of these bills pass?
If these bills pass people can say bye to pirated games, movies, music and anything that is copyrighted.

I do not know about you but I still want to be able to download my movies and music instead of paying $1 for a song or $10 for a movie.

I think that would be a good thing being as most trolls and leeches don't even pay attention to what goes on, on this site; they would probably think that TTG shutdown and then hopefully some are dumb enough to leave.
