Howdy TTG, Since I live in Australia, i've never seen or used an Astro Headset before. On the other hand I've used three different kind of Turtle Beach's, The x41s, x11s and the x12s and I think they're all great.

So, are there any real different between Astro and Turtle Beach headsets?

Astros cost more and there's only one rocker switch that has chat and game sound. So it's either louder game and lower chat or louder chat and lower game sound. Turtle Beaches have two rocker switches so you can have both loud game and loud chat or whatever combination you want. I'd go with Turtle Beaches. Three of my friends have Astros are they all hate them.

Oh I see, Thats the first negative comment I've heard about them, it would be annoying only having one switch.

I've gotta say that the TUTRLE BEACHES win this fight. Cheaper and more dependable.

Astro headsets are expensive. I had Turtle Beach x11's and I loved them. Therefore, I prefer Turtle Beach.
