so thats how you achieve lucid dreaming. but its said that once your in this state you can control all aspects of your dreams. its been people thats spent whole days in this dream world and when they fell asleep in the dream world they would wake up in real life. this is an easy way to unlock the 90% of the brain power we dont use. i am going to try this almost every night and post updates

First try 1/13/12
well i tried tonight i played my favorite calming song on the piano to calm me down. the first time is extremely scary all the so called signals were sent to my body like they were suppost to after ignoring them for awhile i started to get really tired and somewhat felt a weight on my chest i was calm and cool untill i herd a female voice. it scared me & i opened my eyes and moved.
second try was almost the same execpt after i felt the weight on my chest there was a male voice ad it was very deep. i couldnt make out any words because of the song playing but i didnt get scared this time i let everything happen and when i felt it was right i slowy opened my eyes. my room was way darker than normal & at the same time it was getting darker really fast. this scared me mainly because my friend that tried this said he awoke in the dark before he took control. so i just got scared and moved, the normal brightness in my room came back and i went to sleep normally =/. gonna try again tonight

UPDATE 1/23/12

so my sleeping troubles are over with so im going back to trying lucid dreaming and for the people who are complaining about the whole thing not working and giving up on this post and going to a different one its not going to help you have to constantly try some its easier than others you have to train your brain to do this (not calling some of you dumb) i myself have not had a full experience but i know people who have just keep trying ill look up ways to boost your brain power for this & ill post it

POST YOUR THOUGHTS ON THIS OR YOUR EXPERIENCES DOING THIS IF YOU HAVE BEFORE

I tried this last night and it worked! It was around 1:40am when I stumbled upon this post. I was extremely tired as I had consumed some nyquil a while earlier. I followed the steps and found that I was dreaming within 15 minutes. It's true that you cannot move your body bur if you concentrate on waking up you can do it.

It was amazing, I continued one of my favorite dreams that I had years ago. I pictured myself being able to run fast and jump 50 feet high, it was awesome! You wake up the next morning and remember every detail! I would like to thank you for posting this as I had no idea how to invoke lucid dreaming. This has subconciously happened to me before and I am confident that I will now be able to control it.

Tried it last night
RESULT:
Took a while to actually stay still and relax

body felt really weird (like a light pins and needles, didn't hurt/feel uncomfortable)

got a bit itchy, didn't scratch.

some slight pains in my side

got most of the signals but i ignored

Then i fell asleep
So i failed first try, having another go tonight

I never experienced a lucid dream so I would not know how it feels. Although I would like to have one.

I have done it by accident I was dreanming then suddenly realised that it was far to farfetched to be real and could control everything and I started flying no bullshiz it was fun but by realising this and flying it forced me out of the dream probably from the shcok that I was flying haven't done it since tried but can't

You can go into sleep paralysis if something goes wrong during the Lucid Dream to wake you up. The chances are not that high though, but if you do go into sleep paralysis right after a Lucid Dream, things can be happening around you that can scare you..

REASON I KNOW THIS!

I tried it once before and when I woke up because of the shock of seeing my mother dead in the Lucid Dream I was not able to move and there were demons all around me and it scared the shit out of me.
