Hey guys, no I'm not mad, I just had a sudden burst of thought. Ok, here is what I was thinking, most numbers don't exist. Ya I know what your thinking, crazy right, but here is my theory.

The Theory:
If numbers go on forever to infinite and never stop, wouldn't it be the same for decimals? If true, how would we ever get to one? You couldn't the decimals wouldn't stop. Think about it, pi is a never ending decimal and never makes it to 4 so....

Responses I may get & replies :

YOU LIE!

My Response: I never said this was true.

What if I just multiply the number by 100 to clear out the decimal part?

My Response: Well, 100 never really existed!

Why am I doing math in school then??

My Response: You just think they are going to get rid of EVERY number and change the whole system? No, I would much rather add 1 + 2 instead of 0.48 and 0.39.

**NEW THOUGHT** :
Ok guys, I just thought of something different, I guess when I was thinking the whole numbers don't exist really I was thinking of counting numbers like 1, 2, 3. Basically how can you count to 1 starting at a decimal? In fact, where would you start? Would you start at 0.1, 0.01, 0.001, or 0.0001? You couldn't really pick a place to start let alone end. So I guess that's what I really mean by numbers don't exist.

They don't end,. But seem to. 0.4800000 is still the same as 0.48 so technically they do end, it just doesn't show zeros that don't need to be shown.

I'm saying like 0.99 would end up being 0.991 and so on. So we would never get to 1.00

basically there is no 1, as it would just end up 0.1, 0,11 and so on?

I don't understand what you mean then.
0.99 is 0.990 and 0.9900 so on, so forth

Numbers are just a man made thing.

So is time.

They aren't really "fake".
