A little bit more about Eric Saade =

Eric Saade born in (* 29 October 1990 in Kattarp, Helsingborg, Sweden *) and he is a Swedish singer. After two years with the boyband What's Up!, he left the group in February 2009 to pursue a solo career. Eric Saade represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 in Germany after winning the national Swedish selection Melodifestivalen 2011 with his entry "Popular".[8] In the final Saade came in third place which was Sweden's best result in the contest since 1999.

Early Life
Eric Saade was born in Helsingborg, Sweden. He grew up in Kattarp outside of Helsingborg. He is half Swedish and half Lebanese because his father is from Lebanon. He is the second oldest of eight siblings and half siblings. His parents divorced when he was four years old.
Saade had his first performance on his mothers wedding when he was six years old. He has been writing songs since he was 13 years old.


Carrer
2008-2009: What's Up!, Work on television & signing with Roxy Recordings
Before starting a solo career, Saade was in the boyband What's Up!.
In 2008, Saade did voice-over work for the American Disney Channel Original Movie Camp Rock.
During the summer of 2009, Saade hosted the Scandinavian music competition My Camp Rock, an inspiration of the movie Camp Rock. He also hosted the nationwide contest Julias Shooting Stars.
In August 2009, Saade signed with the record label Roxy Recordings to start a solo career.
On 21 December 2009, Saade released his first single Sleepless worldwide. The song reached the top 50 in Sweden.

On 28 March 2010, Saade released his second single Manboy in Sweden. Saade also competed with the song in Melodifestivalen 2010 where he got in third place. The single topped the Swedish Singles Chart. An acoustic version of the song was also released in Sweden.
On 19 May 2010, Saade released his first album called Masquerade in Sweden. The album reached number two in the Swedish Albums Chart.

From 9 June until 11 September 2010, Saade went on his first tour called Masquerade Tour with 24 concerts in Sweden.
In 28 June 2010, Saade released his third single Break of Dawn in Sweden. The song reached the top 50 in Sweden. A remix by Le Family was also released in Sweden.

2011: Eurovision Song Contest, Made of Pop Concert, Saade Vol. 1, Saade Vol. 2 & collaborations
On 14 January 2011, Eric Saade released the single Still Loving It in Sweden.

On 19 February 2011, Saade competed in the semi-final of Melodifestivalen 2011 with the song Popular. He won the final on 12 March 2011 and was the Swedish entry for Eurovision Song Contest 2011. Saade performed the song on 12 May 2011 in the second semi-final of Eurovision Song Contest. He qualified for the final as performed his song on 14 May 2011 there. Saade ended up on the third place which is the best result for Sweden since 1999 when Charlotte Perrelli won with the song Take Me to Your Heaven. The song was released on 28 February 2011 in Sweden. After competing in Eurovision, the song was released worldwide. The song topped the Swedish Singles Chart. In July 2011, the song received Double Platinum in Sweden. A slow version, an album remix and a remix by the SoundFactory were released in Sweden.
The song Hearts in the Air was released on 3 June 2011 in Sweden. It was also released in France and Norway. The song is a collaboration with J-Son. The song reached #2 in Sweden. Remixes of the song were released in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

From 17 June until 10 November 2011, Saade went on his second tour called Made of Pop Concert with 24 concerts in Sweden and one concert in France. The release of the tickets started on 4 May 2011.
In May 2011, it was revealed that Saade would release two albums in 2011. The first one, called Saade Vol. 1 was released on 29 June 2011 in Sweden. It was also released in Norway. The album topped the Swedish Albums Chart and received Platinum in Sweden.
In 14 July 2011, Saade performed for the Swedish crown princess Victoria and the royal family. He sang Popular and Hearts in the Air.
On 2 November 2011, Saade released his first single of the third studio album Hotter Than Fire in Sweden. The single is a collaboration with American singer Dev. The song reached #5 in Sweden. Remixes of the song were released in Sweden.
On 30 November 2011, Saade released his third studio album called Saade Vol. 2 in Sweden. The album topped the Swedish Albums Chart and reached the top 50 in Finland.

2012: Pop Explosion Concert
From 30 March 2012 until 28 April 2012 Saade will go on his first indoor tour called Pop Explosion Concert with 15 concerts in Sweden. The release of the tickets started on 14 November 2011.


Influences
Saade started to sing after seeing Michael Jackson on TV. His other influences are the Backstreet Boys and Bryan Adams.


Personal life
Saade lives in Stockholm. Eric Saade is in a relationship with Molly Sandn. They have been living together in the early 2011.
