Can someone explain to me what SOPA is
and what they are trying to do.
I heard that they could ruin the internet.

it stands for Stop Online Piracy Act

it basicly disallows US citizens from going onto sites with any copyrighted stuff that isnt lisenced

SOPA = Stop Online Piracy Act

It is an act that companies want so that the U.S. Government can censor any site that contains pirated material. It only applies in the U.S. though.

SOPA means Stop Online Piracy Act. It is a possible bill what could stop people in America accessing certain sites. If I can I will find the website and post it up so you can see who's supporting this bill. Go Here for a full list
