Does the HD PVR software work with Macs? If not, what software does? iMovie compatible? Thanks!

HD PVR does work with Macs. I don't think it works on iMovie but you can give it a shot.

there is a 3rd party app you can use to record on a MAC just the HD PVR website they have a list of 3rd party apps.

The disk that the pvr's usually come with, no. But sony vegas is GREAT for editing videos, i strongly recommend it.

Click over to the "3rd Party Applications" and they'll list some Mac software that's compatible with the HD-PVR.

i am not sure but i know there is other software that works for it that can use ur pvr

are there any free alternatives? All the ones on the website cost $$$ and I dont want to have to pay for new software after paying for the PVR itself

I use EyeTV its 30$ but its amazing! (for mac)
