Iv been messing with cod4 all night trying to get it to work for system link iv tried over 15 diffrent patchs .iv got it to give me infections and thats all i could get and it gave me bots in a private match but when i go into a pub it never does a lobby for me and it never gives me my prestiges or levels can someone please help me out i know there is something im doing wrong since everyone is hosting lately i know it works some how ...thanks
NOTE : To the people that dont know how to read what im asking is i need to know how to system link or host on my retail xbox everytime i try it only gives me some infections it never gives me prestiges or menu or anything iv tried 15 patchs os i must be doing something wrong

Really? You join your jtag's lobby.
Do what ever within the lobby that the patch tells you to do.
Leave jtag's Lobby.
Go to split-screen.
Start Lobby.
Leave Lobby.
There you go.
