I have been trying to play runescape on my mac, but nothing is working. I even downloaded the mac client, but every time I click on something, I have to click a little below what i really want to click on. It's really weird. When I click play now on the website, the screen goes black and nothing happens. I have deleted my cache, updated my java. I don't know what to do.

This is one error that shows up when I click on the black screen.

Try using jagex's default java settings, you probably have the settings for internet explorer selected.

Mac

Updating Graphics Drivers
Click the Apple.
On the "Apple" menu, click "Software Update."
If there is a Mac OS X update available, you can install it. If there is a graphics driver update, it will be included in the Mac OS X update.
Update Java
Click the Apple.
On the "Apple" menu, click "Software Update."
If there is a Mac OS X update available, you can install it. If there is a new version of Java for Mac, it will be included in the Mac OS X update.
Clear Jagex cache
Choose Users>your user name>Library>Caches.
From the Menu bar, choose Edit>Select All.
Drag all of the items to the Trash.
From the Macintosh HD, choose Library>Caches.
Choose Edit>Select All, and drag the items to the Trash. Youll be required to type in an administrators pass.
Restart your Mac.
Then, use spotlight to locate the folders .jagex_cache_32 and/or jagexcache on your computer and delete it.
Change display settings
From login screen, click on the 'spanner icon' (top right)
Reduce display settings
Try logging in, if this works restore your display settings to original

This was taken strait from the runescape site.
Also if this doesn't work, I've had problems playing rs when I choose the "bloom" setting on the graphics settings.
