you can lock onto anything with it...

I agree, it's unbelievably annoying.
In BFBC2 it was hard attempting to get a tracer dart on an air vehicle. Now, all you need to do is hold down RT and follow the vehicle. And because of the delay of activating flares, you can rarely survive against one. By the time your flares are active again you end up getting shot down.
Helicopters now are so much easier to shoot down, but now they are more powered, so I guess that's why they made the IGLA the way it is. In BFBC2 tanks would hardly take damage by a helicopter, now they take a lot more.

Yes they are a little op.
But, they have flares and a limit on range.
If u didnt have the igla, u would have something worse than atacama desert with both helis stolen!
