I got the new Xbox on release and now have a redundant elite and 120GB hard drive.

BUT: The DVD drive only works because of a DVD drive cleaning disc that has to be used every month or so for the drive to read anything.
The console has been repaired last year by Microsoft after it got red ring.

On top of this the console and hard drive are 2 years old.

My brother's friend is interested in buying the console and my mate wants to buy the working but old hard drive.

So, how much should I ask for?

i think it would be appropriate at £1, considering the xbox is reaching its 3rd birthday, and the xbox has repairs and sometimes does not read discs.

i think you should browse about and see if their are any xbox's for sale in your ones position and compromise =) ebay it or something

I'd sell it for about 100 $ if it doesn't come with any games/accessories

the xbox since its an elite but its been broke once abou £160
