i mean for like staffs and armour

Really the best magic clothing and staffs/weapons and stuff are found in dungeons and chests. The stores don't really sell anything that amazing. Hope that was helpful.

The college has the best selection of spells, staffs, and armour. It all comes down to your level, the higher level you are the better equipment you'll find in chests and loot, and the better armour and staffs you can buy at a shop; the spell tomes are based on your individual level in each stat, the higher, the better untill you hit level 90 in the proper skill. Then for you to get the better spells you'll need to complete a quest for a trainer corresponding to the skill you are 90+ in. After you have completed that quest, spell tomes will be availiable in thier shop inventory for quite a sum of septims.

I really need some light armor thats good for mages too, i cant find any im afraid i may need to make like leather or something and do it myself, but leather doesnt give good protection and my enchantment isnt very high

Yesterday I found a robe that does 150% magic regeneration and some magic bonus but I dont remember where I found it.

Edit- I play with Deadric full amour(enchanted myself) and Daedric Sword(with health enchantment).

Go to the College of Winterhold in the top right corner of the map, complete the quest there
on the last mission the arch mage will die and you also have to fight this powerful boss guy in the labyrinthine once you kill him take his mask it gives you 100% magica regeneration speed then go back the college talk to the main guy in the quest bla bla bla then finaly you get appointed as the new arch mage with that you recive the old arch mage's clothe that also give you 100% magica regeneration speed

do the maths 100+100=200% magica regeneration, boom you now have the most kick ass magic clothing!!!!!
