I didn't see any other tutorials on how to mod PC items, so I thought I could help everyone out.

First off you will need Cheat engine. For those of you who don't know what it is, it is a program that "attaches" to a process on your PC and allows you to easily hack the game's HEX coding and manipulate it.

Download:

Don't worry if it comes up as a virus (to my knowledge and experience it is clean) that is because it is a hacking tool so it is just a false positive.

Once that is downloaded and installed and skyrim is open we can begin!

Since I'm figuring this out myself I don't know how to add items change your game progress yet :stern: but I will show you how to change any currently obtained items amount!

1. First You need to attach to the process
Click the flashing computer [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] and find the process with the skyrim logo and click it.

2. I recommend finding a barrel or something you can store your items in for this step.
Open the Barrel and add ONE of the item you want.

3. Now go back to Cheat Engine and find the box that says "value" enter the number 1 and click first scan above it (also copy down my settings if you don't have them) [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

4. Now go back to skyrim and add, lets say 53, to the barrel. Now go back to cheat engine and change the value to 54 (1+53), and scan again [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

5. It should only have 1 thing left in the address box. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] This means it was done correctly! Just double click the address.

6. Last step go to the bottom and you will see this, I have 130 as value because I used a different number in step 4. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Not all we do is check the "active box" and double click the value number to change the ammount!

That's it it should look like this in the end: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Proof it works for teh bound to be haters...:

Enjoy PM with any questions. I will be adding more as I learn more!
