Would if I Played games from age 7 - 17, learned how to read code and all the other tech stuff, went to college, got a bachelors degree in a Video Game Designer class, then got Hired by microsoft as a game engineer and got payed $50/ hour? While you study at school go to a simple four year and get a decent job.

I am not trying to change people, I am trying to show them how they could be outside playing a sport, Like baseball, hockey, etc.
You can still play, But just don't maek it the 100% focus.
I myself play hockey and love it.

I clearly said you could do that in the post before.
I am just saying there is so much more out there.
I didn't say looking into xboxs and learning code etc would get you no where.
I was just trying to say school should be in focus.

You don't NEED school to get somewhere in life. I highly recommend school but there are really good job out there that don't need any school, or become an entrepreneur.

Yes it does indeed. But Navy or Military (if you want to see action) have really good benefits.

Im pretty sure that if someone was hiring somebody for a job and one person that applied has a bachelors degree from college and the other person completed high school and thats it, they would go with the person with the degree from college.
School is a huge advantage. You can study things while have time to do other things. I go to a private Catholic school that is one of the hardest private schools in the state I live in. I play baseball which has already started and ends in August. I play video games, and manage a 3.8 gap right now. You have time, trust me

Okay, well I see where your coming from, but I think you are wrong in what you are saying.

You know, not everyone's home life is the same. Not everyone has a family that gets along with one another; maybe someone has had a traumatic past or childhood. Whatever the case, your supposed to do what you enjoy; what makes you happy. For a lot of people, including myself at times, video games can be an outlet when things aren't going good, or when your angry.

To some people, games are more than just games. It may be a connection that they never had with people.

Now, I agree that you can have too much, but I believe almost anything is fine in moderation.

You just have to look at it from different people's shoes. I don't completely understand it, but you can learn a lot from people if you get to know them.
