It's very possible actually but they exaggerated stories...I dont think they ever breathed fire or whatever

sharks are all cartlage teeth arent bones and the only thing that is bone is the fins they use like the dorsal fin and the spine.

We never really found any proof like a bone, and the only theories of the dragons are the stories so I highly doubt it.
