I heard you get all dlc for free with the Hardened edition. I'm not sure if thats true though.

Yeah the DLC is from Elite, which is in the Hardened Edition, you also get something for your avatar if this is for xbox. And some sort of book or whatever, but I doubt anyone would much rather read a book that came with the game rather then play the game itself, I still haven't looked at the book I got with Halo Reach.
