You need a usb port on your pc.

I would recommend it because using a keyboard can get a little bit annoying after about 1 or 2 hours of playing.

It will be a more enjoyable experience for you. 8)

Wow...I can't believe someone would ask this.

Why would you EVER think of using a controller on a PC platform? That's like putting a Toyota engine in a Ferrari shell.

...It's just wrong.

You'll also be at a HUGE disadvantage due to a mouse being far more superior in aiming that some clunky controller.

Obviously PC is not for you.

Go back to your outdated 7 year old Xbox.

Yes, and you still have a Apple II computer.

I thought a person with a brain like yours would come up with a intelligent reply.

If you're even thinking about using a controller on a PC, you're doing it wrong.

This is sad, it really is.

Apple II computer?

2 $250 GTX 560 ti's in SLI.
I3-2100.
1TB WD Black.
Storm Enforcer.
P67-GD65.
Hyper 212 ( just added ).
LG IPS that I just ordered.

If you have a brain, you'd be able to tell that this is not some piece of crap. I've been playing PC games for God knows how long..and I'll tell you using a controller is a stupid idea. Spend a day on a KB+mouse and you'll be in heaven.

Thing is, it's not.

Here, I'll give you an example:

Go to a private match on BO on the 360 platform. Once there, disable auto-aim via menu. Now, try hitting your friend when he's standing still...yeah, it's hard, ain't it? There's no auto-aim on PC, so you'll be shooting at the sky most of the time. PC controls are simple anyways ( WASD + CTRL and mouse ). It sort of ruins the entire point of playing PC ( besides the superior platform ). Basically, you'll be at a MAJOR disadvantage and in the long run not end up having fun due to you not hitting anything. I don't see the point of this, new player or not. Just silly, really.

I did ask in the first place whether I should on your opinions and I guess that is your opinion I will bear that in mind I wouldn't be able to use my controller on some games anyway so I think I am going to get use to using keyboard and mouse

Show me your rig.

An i3-2100 uses less wattage than a light bulb, has hyper-threading, out-benches AMD's 6 core chips, and has a better upgrade path; Ivy-Bridge.

So....please tell me how that is bad? Granted a 2500k will smack this across the floor, but it's also twice the price and isn't the best choice for me.

This is well above and beyond someones home PC.

Just waiting for my IPS panel to come to complete the build.

Also, yes the 560's are pretty sweet. I had to trade in my 6870 Hawks due to how loud they were.
