Hello Minecrafters, and welcome to StormCraft v3, a new beginning.


Introduction

Server Status: UP!

StormCraft is a semi-successful server aimed at providing the best experience possible to its players, we do so by combining what we think are the two most exiting aspects, creativity and a role play system or RPG system. There are monsters, so the element of survival remains, but is not as prominent. The 'RPG Creative' idea we at StormCraft have created is a subtle system where you earn money, via several methods and use it to buy materials to make a house, or you can gather the materials yourself! We have made the system subtle to unleash your creative side and allow your imagination to go wild. This allows the most flexibility for all players to enjoy the game together, weather you like survival, RPG, or creative, we hope this will work for you just as it does for us.

The server can guarantee that griefing will not be an issue, yes, griefers will occasionally join, but any affect done unto the server by them will be rolled back. We use a variety of plugins such as LogBlock, World Guard, NoCheat, OwnBlocks and Mob Disguise to make sure griefers will just turn away upon joining. If not they are simply wasting their time. If you see any griefing or players acting suspiciously message any staff member by doing the command /msg username(Eg. Lotso7s) message(Eg.TooRanDoMx is a griefer). They will be checked, follow, punished and rolled back if we feel there is a need to do so.

Rules

- No griefing
- No cussing/vulgar language
- Use common sense
- Do not ask for any rank other than builder
- Do not flame or aggravate other players
- Keep things tidy
- Be helpful (Within reason)
- No 1x1 towers, if you build them, destroy them
- Have fun
- Do not flood or spam chat

If you feel an member is abusing his/her permissions report them to a higher rank, or message me on here.
To get promoted to a builder type [@@@] (Thanks to MinecraftTunnel for the idea)

Groups

Owner - The server owner. Owner: Lotso7s

Head Admin - Runs the staff as a whole and moderated the server. Head Admin: TooRanDoMx

Admin - Moderates and helps all staff and members.

Global Moderator - Moderates the server and normal moderators.

Moderator - Moderates the server and players.

Veteran - Works hard for the server and builds a lot. Very helpful to new members.

Contributor - A person who has donated $10. Gets more commands than Builders and VIP's.

VIP - A person who has donated $5. Gets more commands than Builders.

Trusted - A player who is trusted by all staff and players.

Builder - The default rank.

Visitor - The rank you get upon joining the server.

Donations

At StormCraft we have a scheme to encourage donations, here is the info regarding donations.
Donations Disclaimer:
By donating money to StormCraft via Paypal or any other method, you confirm that you are making a voluntary donation to StormCraft and that you are not purchasing a product from us. StormCraft retains the right to remove any donation incentives from your account at any time after your donation. Misuse of any donation incentive, including using them to violate our rules, will result in immediate removal of these incentives from your account, and may result in further disciplinary action, including temporary or permanent bans if appropriate.

StormCraft is not responsible for technical failures that may on occasion prevent some or all incentives from being applied correctly to a user's account. StormCraft reserves the right to add, change or remove donation incentives at any time. Donations are not refundable under and circumstances as these are goodwill donations and not purchases. Donations are effective for one user account only. If the user chooses to register a new account, previous donation incentives will not be applied to the new account. If you are using a parent's PayPal account/credit card, please make sure you have permission before making a donation.

How The Server Works

StormCraft works by users having to collect materials themselves or use the in game economy to buy items. To earn money you can: Sell items; Mine; Help other players build; Sell items to others and lots of new ways you can think of yourselves, remember, you can be paid for any service or item! Upon joining the server you will be allocated a single plot in the city of your choice, where you will be able to build. You will also have $100 in game which is enough to build a basic house with furnishings. To use the shop do /warp shop, or walk straight out the front of spawn, and to the building on the left. Each city has its own benefit which you can find out in game. Monsters will not spawn in recommended cities(Does not work as of now, read top of post for more info), at the moment these cities are as follows:
- City of Hope.
To get to each city walk directly out of spawn and into the building on the right, each teleporter will have a destination label.

To buy bigger or extra plots simply ask a staff member, and inform them of which plot you would like to buy, and they will give you a fixed price, there is no negotiation on the price as they will be fair for all. You can also start your own city if you wish but monsters will still spawn in your city and will not be on the above list until it meets the following requirements:
- A population of 10
- A town wall
- A basic, regularly refilled store
- A mayor
- 20 plots
To get on the list, send a message or ask a staff member to inspect your town. If they say no, you will get a reason. If you argue back you will be muted and your town will not be allowed on the list, we will enforce this strictly to cut down spam. Do not apply more than once every 15 minutes.
