Firstly goto [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] and sign in to your account,

Then click my xbox,

Next click accounts.

Now it should show your profile and what memberships you have.
Xbox LIVE Gold
Gold 1 Month

Automatic Renewal: Off
Expiry Date:11/11/2011
Visa: ****2640 (Change)

That is mine atm and as you can see it says ''automatic renewal off'' but if you have recently bought your xbox live membership on your console ''automatic renewal'' will be on.
Dont worry if it is then beside it you now have the option to switch it off without going to the hassel of calling microsoft and wasting more money.

I hope i have helped.

And then when you get charged the next time your account auto renews, you call in and complain you turned it off online or on your console, which DOES NOT WORK. You have to call in, that is the only way to turn off the auto renew feature. Also, any time you purchase a sub with a credit/debit card, the auto renewal is turned back on until you call in and have it turned off. Oh yeah, when you call in to claim you turned it off yourself, there is no refunds, especially on one month subs. Just pick up the darn phone and make a call.

They aren't going to make a feature that doesn't work.
