I am attempting to Unlock a Liteon 0272 mxic chip drive with the Russian unlock method. After putting drive into vendor mode I click on the 0x8c Spi status button and receive the message the drive is H/W Protected do i wish to proceed? i do proceed, however, everywhere else i see you should be receiving the message the drive is S/W Protected I am on latest jungleflasher btw. Does this mean there is some problem and that is why after JungleFlasher Says i have achieved unlock it does not let me read or write to drive instead throws error invalid Status 0x0?

Extra info i am using x360usb pro :p
Thank you for all and any help Techgame

Does the drive still eject? have you got the key? Have you erased the drive or attempted to write to the drive?

If the drive is still stock but unlocked, press ident id in jf and turn the drive off then back on. Dont press the unlock it should now be able to write to it.
