Ok, so every time I've tried to load a kinect game on my jasper jtag, it says I need a system update. It is running on 1.91, 13599 system and it boots directly into Xex menu. I'm guessing I just need the avatar fix? Anyways, I went on Microsoft's website, burned the latest update to a disc, and when I tried loading the disc, I got the respond 'system up to date' or something like that. So how am I getting conflict messages. I'm getting 'need a system update' when i try to play kinect games, but when i try to do a system update, it says i'm up to date! wtf, mate!?
My Kinect that I spent $75 is absolutely worthless right now, constant red light when hooked up to my jtag.

Have you used the usb update from the jtag tool? That has the Kinect and Avatar update on it. Hope this helps if not reply

Not sure what 'jtag tool' you are talking about. I tried doing the USB update from Microsoft's website but i couldn't figure out how to transfer the $systemupdate folder to my fat32 usb drive. It sounds like you are talking about something else, though. So if you could elaborate on this 'jtag tool' that has the usb update...

I'm purchasing a non-jtag flashed jasper tomorrow. I'll be able to connect that to xbox live and update it to the newest Kinect dash, correct? My dilemma is not being able to play my burned Kinect games. Who wants to pay for video games that they only play when they have friends over? Not me. Either way, I'd like to get my Jtag updated too. If anyone could help, I'd be much obliged.

Jtag Tool v3.00 Google it when you have downloaded the program there is a button that says system update or something? When you press it the file will download as a rar file. You need to extract the Systemupdate folder and put it on a pendrive. Then plug it into your jtagged xbox and boot. This should install the update.

Still not working. I inserted my usb stick into my jtag, formatted it, plugged it into my computer, and after downloading the systemupdate folder from jtag tool, i injected the $systemupdate folder onto the usb stick using XTAF explorer. After opening the device in Xtaf, there wasn't a 00000000000000 folder or whatever folder you would put the games empty. It showed up as empty but the systemupdate folder showed up after i injected it. I plugged the usb stick into my jtag, and nothing, just boots into Xex menu. Can't get the update to start....
