So I have been researching about how to get the golden guns in gears 3. I have seen in many places this:
Golden Lancer: Have the Golden Lancer in Gears of War 2
Golden Hammerburst: Have the Golden Hammerburst in Gears of War 2
Golden Retro Lancer: Unlocked in the Gears of War 3 Beta by getting 100 kills with the Retro Lancer equipped
Golden Gnasher Shotgun: Play a match within the first week of Gears of War 3's launch.
Golden Sawed-Off Shotgun: Have the Commando achievement from the first Gears of War, which is earned for clearing all levels on insane difficulty.
So for the gold lancer and gold hamerburst you would need to have them gold in gears 2. I found that from downloading a modded profile and the guns marketplace file and put them on a usb then pop em into my xbox. I could have these golden on gears 2. Would this in turn unlock them gold on Gears 3?
I cant get to my xbox but if anyone can please try for me right now?
Things you need:
Gears 2 and 3 (obviously )
Modded Profile: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Gold Guns marketplace files: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
How to:
1.Put this profile onto your usb. Then put the marketplace files into the downloads folder (16 zero's) that is in your content folder in your usb.
2.Put the usb in the xbox.
3.With 2 controllers, sign into your profile on the first player, and Xeno XBLA on the second controller (modded profile). Once at the gears of war 2 menu, press Rb on your controller to open up options, then click multiplayer settings. From here choose the golden lancer or hammerburst. Once done, sign out the modded profile, and turn off your second controller. Now then press multiplayer, and enjoy your golden lancer+hammerburst!
After you have done this, load up gears 3 and see if you have the golden lancer and hamerburst unlocked.

Actually all you had to do for the lancer and hammerburst was play in the first week of the games launch.. And I would try this but I already have the skins haha

You can't get the Golden Lancer or Hammyburst by modding.
You can get the Gold Gnasher through achievement mods though.

I have heard that if you had the gold lancer or hamerburst in gears of war 2, which I believe came with the pre-orders of the game, you would have them unlocked in gears 3

That's true, but you can't get them via a modded profile.
With a license transfer you can though, if you have a friend that played in the first week and he had the Golden guns in gears two, you can license transfer from him to get them.

So this is why I posted this, for the people who didnt play the first week. To see if you could actually unlock them on gears 3 through modding.
