Depends on what you're using computer for.

You'll end up spending around $1500+ on a Mac, but a custom built PC could save you more
money and have better hardware in it. For example, Mac's aren't great with gaming as they
can hardly handle racing games alone, nor could they handle high-end games such as Crysis.
You can spend the same amount of money that you'd spend on a Mac, for a PC and you'd end
up with top of the line hardware, that won't be outdated after another year comes around.

Not to mention, compatibility is an issue. People will claim "Mac is faster" but they fail
to realize it's not the Operating System, nor is it the name that makes a computer handle
things better, but the hardware on the inside of them. You can get an Intel i7 in a PC and
overclock it to around 4.50GHz (If you're smart, mine currently is clocked at 4.3 right now.
The best bet for any consumer is to buy hardware, and build your own PC. You'll save money.

Not to mention it'll be better than any Brand name PC, or a Mac. Just my opinion. Mac is too
overpriced for the hardware they're giving you, I'd much rather continue building my own than
end up buying from Apple. Not to mention, mostly all Apple users that own macs seem too ignorant.

Macs are faster than pc's.. pc's are garbage i had pc all my life up until like a year ago and i can say from my experience this mac is faster. early 2011 edition. reason they are faster is this most people who are giving out viruses to computers target PC and not mac's.

Have you ever spent over 2,500+ on a PC?

Doubt it. If you have, you wouldn't say that. I guarantee my PC runs faster than any Mac.
Intel i7 overclocked to 4.50GHz, Corsair Vengeance 12GB RAM, 2.1TB 10,000RPM HDD, and two
120GB SSD's. Sorry, but no Mac has specs as such with an i7 inside of them. It's about how
much money you have, if you spent 2,500 on a PC? It'd be better than ANY 2,500 Mac. Simply put.

And the talk about viruses? Who honestly gets viruses anymore, unless you're some idiot who
doesn't know how to utilize a computer properly without clicking on links, and downloads?

Lets start with Mac.
Pros: very good for high school and collage students. from what i know of no viruses ( i am not sure, that's what i hurd). when i used them no lag (used many softwares at once). And they usually have the newest tech ( software, ect...)

Cons: cost a little to much.

Now for PC.
Pros: low price.

Cons: Too many viruses out there. running many softwares at once will slow down your computer( at least mine).

heres a list which are better

Gaming: if you want a mac for gaming. get ALIEN!

Editing movies/pictures: Mac

Every day use for a HOUSE: PC

every day use for a high school/ collage student: mac

song producing: mac

work: ( depends on what your job is)
