So I just downloaded the BF3 beta, and I must DICE really screwed up this one. At first I thought it was pretty good, like with the sound and graphics, but than when I died from a camper lying prone in a bush, my hopes started to fade. This dying by campers thing seemed to be the only thing that I died from, but then I realized that I would die because somehow I would be shot 2 times and get killed while I unloaded half a clip into the enemy. I also realized that there is no spawn protection, and, as stated before, guns are just not fair, like how the AK74 and SVD can kill almost instantly while the MK11 and M16 are underpowered. The game also seems to mimic Call of Duty because I would be shot from seemingly nowhere. This brings me to my next point, which is that I sort of feel like I am playing Call of Duty, because it is either you run and gun or you camp. I feel like DICE is pandering to CoD players because of this new style of gameplay, as noted in the apparent lack of teamwork that I experienced while playing. I really do hope that DICE is able to fix these problems, or at the most delay the game to fix it, since it is only about a month away. I would rather have it delayed so they can fix this and make the game better than have it be released on schedule, only to find out that the game is the same as the beta.DICE also needs to stop trying to appeal to CoD players and actually get back to Battlefield. I truly hope they pull through and fix this mess, but if they don't than I don't know if I will be able to buy another Battlefield game.
