What gold guns do you get if you get the achievement veteran gear?

No you dont.
You unlock the lancer and hammerburst by playing GoW3 in the first week after the relase or by having the GoW2 golden guns on your console.
Gold Lupara(shotgun) = "commando" achievement in GoW1
Gold Retrolancer = unlocked in the beta
Gold gnasher = veteran gear achievement in GoW2

The game checks if you got to level 100 and got the achievement. So i think it should work if you did the GPD mod and got achievement.

Yeah, those are ways to unlock the Gold weapons WITHOUT having Veteran Gear. Veteran Gear unlocks all 5 instantly. Go check the official Epic forums if you don't believe me.

no you unlock more than the gnasher... this is all the weapon unlock list

Chrome:

Retro: Domination (Gears of War)
Lancer: Don't Hate the Player (Gears of War)
Hammerburst: Dirty, Dirty Horde (Gears of War 2)
Gnasher: complete all 3 storys (All games 1,2,3 campaign)
Sawed-off: Any Achievement from Gears of War for Windows (Gears of War for Windows)

Gold:

Retro: Beta (Gears of War 3) or Veteran Gear (Gears of War 2)
Lancer: Have it unlocked in Gears of War 2, Veteran Gear (Gears of War 2), or play during the first week
Hammerburst: Have it unlocked in Gears of War 2, Veteran Gear (Gears of War 2), or play during the first week
Gnasher: Veteran Gear (Gears of War 2)
Sawed-off: Commando (Gears of War) or Veteran Gear (Gears of War 2)

Gold Omen:

Unlock all 5 at Rank 100

Crimson Omen:
