Yea exactly this, I don't see the point of doing this considering you have a normal retail console. You will lose the JTAG software for ever. You will also not be able to mod games.

Some people like playing online. JTAGs will never be online again so that is the only way to be able to play on the service.

What I'm saying it is pointless for him considering that they already have a retail console, making his JTAG into that would be pointless, thats how I see it.

well they will never publicly be online but im assuming most people who have a jtag also have a retail so theres really no point in this

you have to hook up a lpt/usb nand reader then flash your original 7371 inamge back on the xbox. then update to current dash and as long as your jtag is not banned you should have no problme connecting to live and playing online.

It's simple as long as u jtag'd it urself. First take the original NAND(ur 7371 or below) and flash tht via lpt(not sure about updflash). Then check to see if xellous still runs. If it doesn't remove all the jtag wires and there ya go. Be sure to have a clean kv. Sucks if u didn't.
