I would too.. Except parents split.. so id rather carry a laptop from house to house and not a desktop

You're probably going to be let down when it comes to performance. Gaming laptops are not worth it. They are not portable and cost a lot for what you're getting. Honestly, for $1200 you can build a PC with a GTX 570. You can't even compare a dedicated GTX 570 to a integrated GT 550m.

Ok i understand that.. But im going from house to house.. I cant take a desktop with me.. It gets heavy..

..So does a 17'' laptop.

Here's an idea:

Build a sweet desktop for $800 - With the 'extra' $400, put it towards a basic laptop. Therefore, you can have a sweet desktop to game on, AND a actual portable laptop. Just an idea. I hope it makes sense.
