'm back with the proper guide, new and completed. It includes pictures, mini guides, video links, and dungeon guides! Its huge! Please, no flaming I like constructive criticism but remember I made this for YOU so don't be jerks please. Before we get started I'd like to start with some general ranging tips that are pretty obvious to most but some might not know all.

Tips!

-Always wear the best d'hide you can buy. Don't waste money on god armors (unless you have millions to spare) and don't buy karil's, black d'hide is better than karil's anyway. Unless you have nothing else to do with your money (like me ) then don't buy armadyl either. It's good but the extra (10ish) range bonus isn't worth the extra 24m unless you have hundreds of mil.

-Crystal bow is a blue dragon killers friend. If you are killing blue drags for experience/money, I recommend you use the crystal bow and range them in Gu'Tanoth Dungeon. The bow is accurate and powerful and at the 130k a recharge stage the loot far outweighs the greatly increased kill speed and experience.

-Knives! Knives! Knives! Bronze knives are only 13-14gp each and are fast and powerful (for bronze weapons ). For monsters like ogres or places where you can't or do not want to pick up your ammo (i.e Pest Control, Ogre Pen) knives are your friend. Cheap + Mediocre Power + Fast = Happy Face
These are especially good if you have void knight ranger because the extra damage bonus on bronze knives is a phenomenal one.

-Your Using Rune Arrows??? Use Steel or Mithril arrows when you can pick up your arrows, it will cost less.

-Broad Bolts. Roughly equivalent to mithril bolts (perhaps slightly stronger) these bolts are cheap and powerful. Use them for higher leveled monsters like Aviansies or Fire Giants.

-(PKing Tip) Dark Bow!!! Yes we all know and the love 48, 48 decent of dragons at 99 ranged. The ability to one hit all but the highest level players is very exciting. When using a dark bow to pk, bring a rune c'bow and emerald enchanted bolts to use as damage dealers, then finish them with a Descent of Dragons. Many people start with Descent of Dragons, and this is fine, but you are more likely to get a kill when they have less than half hp left because you can't rely on a max hit every time.

-(PKing Tip) If you don't like the dark bow or don't want to risk it, try a rune c'bow with onyx(e) bolts or dragon(e) bolts.

I have many more useful "tidbits" of information so if you have questions leave a comment.

Ok lets start. I'll start the guide at level 10, lv 1-10 just kill goblins or chickens.

Levels 10-20! --> Cows East of Lumbridge.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Cows are only level 2 with 8 hitpoints, but with only 10 range you will hit a lot of 0's. 10-20 will only take about an hour though.

Levels 20 to 30 --> Barbarians in Barbarian Village
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

For these levels kill the level 8 barbarians that roam the petite Barbarian Village. If you can afford to, I recommend that you start using iron arrows (If you can afford them, use them from lv 1!) Range them over the rocks in the center.

Levels 30 to 40 --> Hill Giants in Edgeville Dungeon.

Hill Giants are easy to kill, but they can be crowded. There are plenty of safe spots for rangers, and even when its crowded its usually rangers who get the giants (because they don't have to run toward it etc. and bows are fast). Keep the big bones if you like, they are worth 550gp each.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Dungeon Map; Courtesy of Rune HQ (I had no idea how to map a dungeon lol)
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

30-40 option #2 --> If your P2P and have at least 15 slayer, you can range banshees. These Drop lots of herbs, but remember to wear earmuffs!

Credit for image goes to Svstoned for his mapping skills!
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

30-40 #3 --> Another P2P options you can kill low leveled monsters at the Ardougne zoo. This is fine if you don't mind losing your arrows, as you cannot pick them up (unless you telegrab) but as the animals are in cages you will lose your arrows.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Levels 40 to 60 --> Hill Giants, Moss Giants, and Pyrefiends.

This is probably the least exciting stage in your ranging career because you hit a lot of 0's, your gear is ugly and it sucks, and the monsters you can range are limited. Stick to the Hill Giants until 50, then switch to Moss Giants until 60. If you are P2P kill pyrefiends (30 slayer required!)
You can find moss giants south of the fishing guid or on crandor (only places with safe spots), and pyrefiends in the Fremmenik Slayer dungeon east of Relleka.

60-99 F2P --> Lesser Demons on Karamja and Crandor

Have fun killing lessers.

Levels 60-70 P2P!!!

Ok this is where ranging finally starts to become useful and a bit more fun (hopefully!) Being a member you got tons of options, but I'll only include the fastest ways with the best money.

Recommended: Ogres In King Lathas Training Camp!

This is the best way to get to 70. This requires the questBiohazardbut its easy and so is the prequel quest. I literally got 60-70 ranged in one day here using void knight range outfit and bronze knives. This will lose you money but not much. Reason: Picking up your arrows wastes a lot of time (therefore you cannot get your arrows and gain decent xp, I will talk like you cannot get your arrows) and so does picking up the drops. However this is the fastest easiest way and you'll be 70 faster.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Profitable option but VERY SLOW

I will not even cover aviansies in 60-70; complete waste of time. many people will argue, but I'm the one with 99 range. DO NOT DO AVIANSIES UNTIL 70 RANGE. Horrible experience until 70 and if anyone tries to take your spot they'll succeed because your range level sucks. Plus it'll take about a week or more. You have been warned.

The In-Between Option: Bloodvelds (50 slayer required)

Look above for the slayer tower map. Bloodvelds are probably some of the best range experience in the game. You can go 60-99 here if you like, but its kinda boring. Drops are mediocre but the experience is good, sometimes crowded.

In between Option Number 2: Fire Giants

Like aviansies I won't cover these until 70. Alright experience at 60 but easily overshadowed by many other monsters.

Great! You Got 70 Range! Time to start killing some real monsters....

70-85!!!

You got tons of options, I have posted what I consider the best.

AVIANSIES!!!

The Mini Guide!

Ok this is what a lot of people have been waiting to read about. Whether or not I included aviansies and whether or not my guide was good. I hope this aviansies mini guide is good because I have killed about 15, 000 aviansies and made very nearly 45m off them! Lets get down to business!

How to get there: You will need the quests: Death Plateau and Troll Stronghold, and Temple of Ikov for the Armadyl Pendant is highly suggested. Eadgar's Ruse will make things a bit easier but its not necessary. You will also need 60 str or agility to move/get past the boulder on the way there.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Now, what you need. I am only covering the tanking method because it is the best sustained experience and will make you the most money overall.

Gear: If you have 70-90 defense or don't have tons of money wear something like this (swap the ammy for an armadyl pendant, I forgot when I took the picture)
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Displayed from best to worst:
Head: Any barrows helm --> Helm of neitiznot
Neck: Armadyl Pendant--> Amulet of Fury --> Glory
Chest: Karil's Leatherbody/Saradomin Dragonhide-->Black D'Hide Body
Legs: Any barrows legs --> Dragon Platelegs --> Zamorak Plateskirt
Hands: Zamorak/Saradomin Bracers (w.e god item you dont have)-->Barrows Gloves
Feet: Bandos Boots--> Snakeskin Boots -->Climbing Boots*
Cape: Ava's Accumulator --> Fire Cape
Shield: Obsidian Shield-->Granite Shield
Weapon: Rune Crossbow
Ammo: Broad-Tipped Bolts--> Mithril Bolts

*If you don't wear the climbing boots, you need them in your inventory to wear. Once your done with them you can drop them (and buy another pair from Tenzig for 12gp on your next journey) or just keep them in your inventory.

If you have 90+ defense and are rich, wear (use broad bolts, I wiped my bolts out because I had 10k diamond(e) equipped)
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Here are some spots:
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Inventory: Bring a mithril grapple if you plan to use the eyrie. Bring bones to peaches tablets (Bring about 100 if you are going to get around 2k kills in 1 journey, you will not need 100 but just to be safe also I cannot predict how much damage you might take due to your defense level so ...), 200 nature runes (more will drop from the aviansies!), a fire staff, 4-8 range pots (4), climbing boots for getting there, and fill the rest of your inventory with food (recommended Summer Pies).

The first time you get to GWD (God Wars Dungeon) you will need a rope and a free inventory space. When running past the thrower trolls use protect ranged and when walking past the wolves use protect melee. Talk to the Dying Knight and he will give you (I dont remember I think its a scroll or a letter or something) to give to Sir Tiffy Cashien (In falador park). You can just drop the scroll, use the rope on the hole that is the dungeons entrance, and enter!
Now if your wearing a saradomin item you are ok. If not, I suggest you pray Protect Magic before entering as the Saradomin Forces are prevalent near the entrance. Run to the aviansies (locations specified on the map) and start killing them (remember, range or mage only!). The great thing about aviansies is that they drop 4 noted adamant bars about every 4 kills. This varies, sometimes you will get 10 kills and nothing and sometimes you will get 10 kills and 40 addy bars. However, the amount of bars you have is usually with 50 of your killcount. Alch all the rune p+ daggers you get. Keep the ranarrs if you want, but don't pick up any runes or other herbs (Unless you want to I do but a lot of people don't who need the space for food).
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
The Method: For every piece of food you eat, pick up some bones from an aviansie you've killed. When you are out of food cast bones to peaches. If someone tries to take your spot, fight for it for 5 minutes (maybe they will just leave because its not worth it). If you can't win every or almost every kill just hop or change spots; its not worth it. Some people just have dicks for brains and like to piss you off.

That's about all I have on Aviansie killing, if you didn't like this guide, or would like a more visual guide, click [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] or copy and paste [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] into your browser.

The Decent-Drops-Decent-Experience option! Fire Giants

Decent moneymaking, fire giants drop some rune items (which I alch) and lots of rune arrows (save these for PKing or G.E!). Great experience, these are widely known. The only good spots for rangers are under the waterfall. You will need the Waterfall Quest. Make sure you have a rope and glarial's amulet when heading to the waterfall dungeon. The fire giants are in the middle passage in the dungeon (If you've done the quest you will know where the dungeon is!)
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
When you get there use the spot by the door. (Not my pic, forgot to take one)
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
After about 10 minutes the fire giants are no longer aggressive, so you can use the over the table spot if you like, or the side of the table like I'm using here.
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

These are excellent experience from 70-99.

The Charm-and-alright-drops-and-alright-experience option! Greater Demons!

The best spot is in level 44 wilderness Demonic Ruins. Demons can be ranged through the doorways and revenants can be trapped behind the wrecked building. Alright drops and alright experience, decent charm drops.

Levels 85-99 Red Chinchompas

Ok, this guide is about ranging and making money while ranging so chins isn't a viable method. If you'd like to see a chins guide, I recommend going here.

85-99: Fire Giants

This is probably your best bet for 99. This is going to be slow, its a 99 skill, but worth it. The drops here are pretty good. Usually the worlds that are popular are the least busy. Everyone always tries the Swedish worlds etc. but its usually Canadian and American worlds that are empty. I recommend Full Void and bronze knives.

Crystal Bowing Blue Drags

OK, for this you will need a crystal bow (so that means regicide and roving elves complete!), and Watchtower quest done. Me and my friend put together this short video below, but sorry if his range level sucks

This is a great way to gain money and experience. A crystal bow recharge at lowest is 130k, and you get about 350k-500k per bow. So your making a lot of profit. And I'm just talking about the hides. Add the bones in and thats a lot of meny and a lot of profit (each bow=150-200 drags).

So....after a month(s) of hard work, you are now....

99 RANGE!!!!

Pop a cold beer (For the minors; have yourself a Slayer's Respite) and celebrate! You can now own your friends, be a feared pker, and generally just show off your cape and emote! Gratz!
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Wait! The fun is just beginning!

What can I do with 99 range??

Tons of things. Firstly I'll cover The Dark Bow. As I update this guide constantly this section will get larger.

The Dark Bow

Duh! Duh! Duuuuh! (Pathetic Sound effects on my part, say it out load and you'll understand)

This bow is a beast and its a beastly damage dealer as well. If your going to use this bow, full void HIGHLY recommended as the damage bonus is significant.

This bow is famous for its beastly specials and also highly feared by any pker or bounty hunter alike. Why?

THIS IS WHY!
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

The ability to hit 96 it pretty staggering, a person with 99 range will not hit this often as it is the max max (pots, prayer, usually on a guy with no armour, though I have one hit people in bounty hunter ), but high thirties and early forties is quite common. The major disadvantage of this bow is that it is the slowest weapon in the game. It shoots two arrows, however, so for example it can usually (with dragon arrows) hit 60's (30 30, 35 25, etc.). However being slow, eating and then re-firing can be a problem (as it is slow to fire you may be constantly eating). That is why I recommend you bring a mage short with rune arrows with you. Start the fight with a descent of dragons (d bow special with dragon arrows!), pull out your mage short and switch arrows, and pound away until they are low or the fight is drawing to a close. Do the same thing (switching that is; back to d bow and dragon arrows) and do another descent of dragons for the K0 (descent of dragons uses up just over half of your special bar, so its fair when they get hit for 45, 45 etc.). At the end of a fight you should have just over half to use though.

Always wear void when pking with the dark bow, and always use prayer and pot when using the special. After you learn to be confident with it, you'll rack up 1 hits and 2 hits quickly. Trust me you will enjoy the cries of "k0ed!!!!" and "owned" from the onlookers. That's basically it for the Dark Bow!

THIS IS NOT MINE I JUST FOUND IT MIGHT HELP YOU OUT A LITTLE

-THANKS

Add that if you are attacking monsters behind cages the avas item collects them automatically.
