Activision has confirmed to GamerZines that an annual subscription to Call of Duty Elite will cost 34.99 per year in the UK.

The service, which was fully revealed earlier today at Call of Duty XP, will offer premium members access to all of Modern Warfare 3's DLC at no additional cost, in addition to numerous extra features on the social networking service, including the ability to level up your clans, as well as access to daily tournaments, competitions and exclusive videos.

For sake of comparison, a premium subscription costs $49.99 per year in the US.

A free subscription to Elite will also be available, but will limit users to the Connect and Compete functionality of the website.

A year's subscription to Call of Duty: Elite's premium service will also be included in the box with Modern Warfare 3's Hardened Edition, although a price for that is still to be announced.

Modern Warfare 3 launches on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii and PC on November 8th.

Well Activision has finally announced everything you will get for your $50 per year subscription. You will probably rage, be warned. It was already revealed that you would get all of the DLC that is released for Modern Warfare 3 for free. The thing is, that will be about $60 worth of material spread over 20 pieces of content, spanning new maps and new modes. Let the rage out, go ahead. We were all dreading it, the day we finally are being nickeled and dimed for petty multiplayer modes. Along with that players receive:

-- Daily and weekly competitions and events with both physical and digital prizes
-- Eight times the video sharing capacity (Im assuming this means storage)
-- Leveling up your clan, though you can start and join one as a free player
-- Access to strategy and tips for maps, guns, and modes produced by expert CoD players, which will definitely not be ripped and rehosted the day they go up
-- Elite TV: Web video episodes featuring the likes of Ridley and Tony Scott (producing a show pitting real-life rivals against each other in CoD) and Will Arnett and Jason Bateman (producing a show where celebrities talk smack over user-submitted videos
