When you get it, he'll get it back easy. They are going to know that it was his IP that made the account and that's all he needs to get it back, pretty much.

I doubt Jagex would even care to look at appeals different from the real user's IP, they do stupid things but I think they aren't stupid enough for this to actually work.

I HIGHLY dought even if you got the password or an old one that the appeal would get accepted. I mean come on.. it's the top guy with 3 Billion experience it's just never going to happen.

so what happens if a person from '02 decides they want to play runescape again (in '10) but they got a new computer? how would jagex know that they got a new computeror not... becuase if you played runescape in 02 your computer must have been pretty old.

Because getting a new computer won't affect your IP Address.

I don't understand how it can be hard? All accounts are equal.
Apart from the ones with recovery's.
