The Minecraft Seed Vault
come 1.8 all of our beloved seeds will be gone! thats right... gone! all the knowledge in this section of the forums will be useless!
in real life there is a global seed vault that preserves the seeds of every type of plant incase there is a disaster and we need them. so i propose that we take untouched versions of all the seeds people want to save and upload them so people can download them like adventure maps. we need to have minecrafters everywhere come togeather to save the seeds! so we need all the great seeds like 404, gargamel, Glacier, all the seeds we all love. i say post them here and hopefully an admin can make this a pinned thread. so take your personal favorite seeds, all the great seeds and just any seed you dont wanna lose in a week or 2 when 1.8 comes out. upload it as a saved file (completely untouched, this is a place for your seed not your world) and togeather we can create a huge collection of the great seeds and we dont have to lose them! obviously there will be new great seeds once the world generation changes but please dont lose the great seeds of the past. preserve them for future generations of minecrafters. please post an uploaded file of your seed and the actal seed it self if you want a seed saved for future generations.
i will add a list of great seeds we still need and i will mark them as done once they are uploaded. anyone feel free to contribute to the minecraft seed vault. we dont have much time!

i will look for more tutorials as well. if anyone has or can make a tutorial of this please post it here
make sure when uploading you walk to areas of interest. i have no idea if they will still generate there when the world generator changes so they must be loaded beforethe seed is posted, if you have your own personal favorite seed you should upload it yourself, that way you can make sure you have all the areas of interest generated. seeds you upload will be added to the website we have now thanks to Acrin_II
