Recently came across these on campus. Not too good with audio, just seeing what I got. All I know is they're bose and sound better than what I have now. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

They're good if you manage to keep them longer than a few months without blowing them.

On my 4th pair. Drivers blow after a few weeks to a few months.

These are for a friend, but I may get a pair if they are really nice.

BUDGET
30$

MUSIC PREFERENCE
Indie, pop, electro

LISTENING FROM
iPod, phone, computer

DETAILS
Do you want them to be portable?
Yes.
Do they need to isolate well?Yes, especially in loud cafeterias, streets, etc.

Is durability a big priority? Yes, especially from pets and heavy use.
Are these for gaming? No, just music.
Have you had significant experience with certain headphones in the past? Xeport's 5010's. I have gone through at least 3-4 pairs in the last few years since the left earbud always seems to fizz out.
Do you have any other relevant questions? No, your criteria pretty much covers everything!

BUDGET
$160(Maybe a little higher if you find a better pair for a little bit extra)

MUSIC PREFERENCE
Post-Hardcore, Metalcore, Deathcore, Death Metal. (Bands like A Day To Remember, August Burns Red, and Scar Symmetry)

LISTENING FROM
Android Phone, Laptop

DETAILS
Do you want them to be portable?
Yes
Do they need to isolate well?
Yes

Is durability a big priority?
Not really
Are these for gaming?
No, just music.
Have you had significant experience with certain headphones in the past?
Xeport's 3010's. Broke in less than a month
Do you have any other relevant questions?

No. I don't care if they're over ear, on ear, or earbuds, I just don't want them to be big and clunky if you can do that.

Also, I would prefer them to have more quality than bass. I would rather like a much clearer sound so I can hear the guitars, vocals, and drums clearly and not distorted.

I'd look at the Meelectronics M6 because they're cheap and durable with good strain relief. The Vsonic GR99 and Brainwavz Delta also look good for you. It's hard to make any promises with $30.

I bet you'll like the V-Moda LP. The AKG K181 is also worth looking at, but it's not over-ear.

The Sennheiser HD 25-II is ridiculously durable and it isolates well. The sound is great for rock. You might like the V-Moda M80, too, but the HD 25 sounds perfect for you.
