The white AKG K551 does look nice. Too bad the blue cable ruins it. I hope they improved the sound this time, the K550 was not very well received by some.

That is just tacky and uncalled for.

Your budget: 20-25 Pounds (UK)

Which genres you'll be listening to: Dance music, Pop , Dubstep

What kind you want: In ear headphones

Whether you want open or closed headphones: Ones that go in my ear

What you are listening from: Ipod touch

Music preferences: House, dubstep, liquid dubstep, hip hop, RnB, Grime, Opera, DnB, Enigma (I need to be able to hear beautiful highs, defined mids and low but tight bass)

Type/form-factor: On ear or around, preferably around

Open or closed: Closed

Listening from: SG S2

Details: Need to be extremely comfy, isolate noise well, loads of bass but not drown mids and highs out, portable (suitable cable length). CAN'T LEAK SOUND. Need to be stylish and elegant, but classy.

Been told HFi 580 are good, but cable is too long.

I have the money to get them now.

Check out the PRO700MKII, they might not have enough highs for you. The DT770 pro80ohm is another thing to look at, but I don't think the SII can power it. The custom one pro might just work for you, but I'll let the others comment on that

They're nice but all out of my price range...

Listening from: Smart phone

Details: I'd basically like a pair of nice looking, sturdy headphones, made from good materials, which are nice to wear and listen to.

Thanks in advance,
SteveKeith

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ] These punch well above their weight. They probably won't be the best for Tibetan chanting, if you're into that (you said literally everything) but for $50, they're fantastic.

The Uptown should be exactly what you're after.
do you think this deal will this be around during thanksgiving?

Probably. Maybe even cheaper.

I've heard those Addidas before, and they just don't sit on my head right, and because of that they sounded terrible Any views on german maestro headphones? Someone near me is a legitimate retailer for them so I can get the VAT free?

Just wanted to give a little suggestion out. I absolutely love me Beats By Dre headphones. I use them for everything. You can plug them into your tv and use them as headphones for gaming, they work with any type of music, and most important, they are very durable. Even though they are a little bit pricey, I definetly reccomend them.

What else have you tried other than the Beats to give weight to your recommendation?

I haven't heard them so I can really only base anything off of what I've read, but they seem to not be the best for your genres. Can you find the AKG K181DJ in your price range? They're a bassier, less refined HD25. The switch can give you all the bass you'd ever want.

And the K551 seem really disappointing. The black+silver one looks awkward and the all white one has that obnoxious blue cable. They probably sound the same too.

Please tell me we haven't lost you to the easily manipulated by beats and apple race?
