Yes it does apply, but if you want something different, the Xeport 5010 would work well.

I made the mistake of buying beats, but I lost them on holidays so I'm claiming holiday insurance and getting my money back.. I've been recommended to try the akg k450's, but I thought I'd come to this thread to get an opinion from someone more reliable

If you liked the Beats these are a dream come true. They're like Beats in that they have good looks, a removable cable. and they're made to be portable, but they just do everything so much better. They're very durable, they sound great, and they're not stupidly overpriced.
