Quite. He nearly always has them with him, just ask. They aren't as good as the Pro70mkIIs, but very similar.

No fear, unamped they are merely average with a pleasing signature and lots of potential. I'm almost as excited to hear the TMA-1s with a good amp as I am patiently waiting to hear the Grados.

I need some cabling for the Grados, too. And I still need to fix the transducer on the right driver.

But now, I have to sleep.

Which genres you'll be listening to. Rock, like A day to remember and Dubstep, Like skrillex

What kind you want and whether you want portability. In-ear, I want to take them everywhere

Whether you want open or closed headphones. Closed, because of school :/

What you are listening from. Ipad/Ipod and android phone

Also I had skull candies, but they started to buzz

Budget Max 100$

For you, something special.
I realize you requested IEMs, but if i were you, I'd screw that minute amount of portability you gain over my recommendation in favor of far superior sound quality. First of all, I must reccomend the Koss [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] as your best bet at this price range. Now you could stop there... Or you can buy [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] and [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] and still be under $100. The fiio e6 is a portable amp and the fiio l9 is a line out device for apple products. This combo will give you the best sound at that price point.
Best of luck,
Zim

I might give those a look for my computer, but right now I need a pair to take around from class to class during school. Thanks for you help tho.

Any time! If you decide to use them with your computer, ditch to LOD and get a small DAC instead. When you get to the point of actually looking for something for that, either come back here or PM me.

Your budget: 100-250 (US DOLLARS)

Which genres you'll be listening to: Rap

What kind you want: Doesn't matter.

Whether you want open or closed headphones: Either is fine.

What you are listening from: anything

Assuming you want IEMs for portability, the Brainwavz M2 would be your best choice.

Over-ears: Sony XB500, XB700, or XB1000, Ultrasone DJ1, or DJ1 Pro.

On-ears: Aiaiai TMA-1.

In-ears: Fischer Audio DBA-02 ( [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] , although they might be a bit light on bass. They would be my first choice, otherwise. Other choices would be the Denon AH-C710, the Hippo VB (probably the smartest choice for your purposes), the Klipsch Image S4s, and the Monster Turbine (Gold if you can get them).

The reason I would go with the Hippo VBs, which are under your budget at ~80 bucks, is because of the music quality. Expensive headphones tend to bring out the flaws in music, which can hurt the experience. Since rap is poorly mastered and commonly compressed, headphones is the <$100 price range are the best choice. The Sony XB700s and Hippo VBs are the two I would look at most seriously for this reason. If you wanted to stretch the budget, the Aiaiai TMA-1 would be about as far as I would go. These three will satisfy your bass craving, compliment your music, and give you money left over. The Hippo VBs have my personal vote here.
