Ishcabible wrote Wireless and 7.1 surround sound are two knocks against it for sound. You'd probably be better off with an AKG Q701 and buying an external mic.

Speaking of wireless, it'd be nice to see some measurements of the RS220. Those look interesting.

The only wireless tech companies should use is Kleer. That stuff is nice. I wonder if Tyll or Purrin has a pair.

I'd pick up the Creative Aurvana Live, for sure. Tyll Hertsens can do my talking for me!

If you want something that's more versatile and built tougher, you can check out the AKG K181DJ. There's also the Shure SRH550DJ or SRH750DJ.

The Ultrasone HFI-780 is just about perfect for you. The S-Logic tech, which actually works, will make them awesome for movies and they have a movie friendly sound signature. For your music, they should be pretty good as well.

Just read you need velours, though. In that case, I'd get the Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro or put velour pads on the Ultrasones.

Save your money and get the Xeport 5010, which are $15 from Xeport. I doubt anything is a better deal within your budget.
