hey guys i recentlly talked to gear head support cuz i was having trouble with my webcam on windows 7 and heres wat worked

Windows XP:
You will need to download the latest driver from our website at: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] Select your webcam from the list. Download the file from the driver section of your selected camera. Save this file to a location would are familiar with (i.e. Desktop) After the file finishes downloading, Right click on the downloaded ZIP file and extract the contents. Right click the "My Computer" icon, then left click "Manage". This will open the Computer Management window. On the let hand side select Device Manager. In the list you will see an Unknown Device or SIF Single Chip. Right click it and you will see Update Driver. Click that. Then the wizard opens, the wizard may ask you to have Windows search online click "No, not this time". Then click next. The wizard will say If your hardware came with an Installation CD, insert it now DO NOT insert the disk. Down below, select the Install from a list or specific location.(Advanced) and select next. Check off Include this location in the search:. Click on Browse and navigate to the files that were extracted from the downloaded file. Select the Manual Install Driver folder. Continue with the installation after selecting this folder. Should you receive an error message regarding unsigned drivers, just proceed. When installation finishes, verify that the device is working properly using software of your choice. If you do not have one, open the folder that was extracted. Inside the Manual Install Driver folder there is a file AMCap. Run the application. Under the Options in the menu, verify the Preview has a check mark next to it. If the camera is installed properly you will see the image of your camera in the preview screen.

Pretty dumb that they don't post this on the site itself. Would save people A LOT of trouble.
