Captain Alex Mason- [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] The Story Point of View. Alex Mason was born on June 3rd 1993 in Alaska. He spent his Early Life with His father(a WII Veteran) hunting Elk and Bears. Alex Mason is a excellent sniper and won Wimbledon Cup in the marksmanship competition. At the age of 25 he was Recruited to SAG/SOG after a Term with the Marines.
His Part in Campaign
In 1961 Alex Mason was apart of a CIA task force called Operation 40. Him and he fellow task force members (Joseph Bowman and Frank Woods) Were sent on a Mission to carry out Operation Zapata (To kill Castro). Using the Distraction of the Bay of Pigs invasion. Task force Operation 40 went to a compound where Castro was reportedly living. Mason Encounters Castro and a Mistress, Mason shots and kills Castro. During the assassination of Castro the Cuban Military and Supported Cubans swarm the air field where Operation 40s escape route is. When the plane takes off Mason Jumps out right before take off and clears the runway of Cuban military vehicles. Mason is caught, as he regains consciousness he watchs the real Castro (the one he shot was a double) hand him over
Mason is sent to a Soviet labor camp in Vorkuta, Russia, While there Friedrich Steiner brainwashed Mason so become a Soviet Sleeper agent his main mission is to Assassinate USA president John F. Kennedy. A former Red army hero Viktor Reznov helps Mason snap out of his brain wash and Kill Steiner, Kravchenko, and Dragovich out of revenge. Mason thinks it has been 6-7 weeks after being sent to Vodka (Soviet Labor camp) he is made to go into a Labor force. There he is meet by prisoners Loyal to Reznov. The fights have gotten Mason one month of solitary confinement in witch they both become good friends sometime later they both plan to escape from Vodka. On October 6, 1963 the Prisoners at Vodka start a riot and escape. Mason returns to the United States of America, Reznov was not so lucky and dies helping Mason.
Mason is taking to the Pentagon to have a meeting with the president of the United States of America John F. Kennedy, He is told that he will start Operation FlashPoint (Mason and his team must locate and kill Dragovich and sabotage the Soviet space program.) During this meeting Mason hears numbers witch is making Mason think everything is a dream, in one of his dreams Mason Pulls out a Pistol and points it as the President of the United States of America John F Kennedy. Resisting this temptation Mason does not pull the Trigger. On November 17, 1963 Mason and fellow CIA members infiltrate a Soviet Cosmodrome in Baikonur, Kazakhstan (the first step in Operation FlashPoint) this attack is already known beacuse of a Soviet double agent Mason and his team was not able to Rescue. Alex and his Team Rush to Soyuz 2 rocket they are not able to stop the Launch but Mason Destroys the rocket out of mid Air using a Valkyrie Rocket. but there main goal was to Kill Dragovich, Later Mason and his team finds Dragovich Limo and blows it up, Mason assumes Dragovich is dead and Escapes back to the Untied States of America.On November 22, 1963 John F. Kennedy was Assassinated. the story points to mason as you hear him say Proceed...to...target. Oswald...compromised ( he could of Killed JFK while under Brainwash)
Almost five years later, in 1968, Mason joined the SOG unit led by Frank Woods and was sent to Vietnam for the purpose of searching for covert Russian operations in Vietnam and Laos. After landing at Khe Sanh to meet up with Woods and the rest of his old unit, the hill of Khe Sanh comes under attack by NVA forces. in Hue city Mason and his group tries to save a Soviet who has good Intel. in the safe room Mason sees his Guardian angel( Reznov) after collecting the Intel Mason Leaves Hue City Masom's Helicopter is shot down, Mason Survives and Head towards a Near by Village. Mason clears out a "rat Tunnel" and gets a book from Kravchenko's office. The tunnel Collaspe and Mason Barley Escapes with his life.
There Intel Carries them to a Suspicious Nerve Gas called Nova 6 witch is being help in a plane and they go off to get it. as they ge tthere they Realize soviet forces are already there and waiting for them and than they are sent to a Spetsnaz Prison. During there stay at Prison Mason and woods are made to play Russian Roulette by Prison guards. Woods goes first and it doesn't fire but whispers to Mason that the Bullet is in the Chamber. Mason turns and shoots a Guard. Mason and Woods gets a Chopper and flies to a Dragvitch Compound and battles to make it to Kravchenko's Office, A battle goe son and Mason is over Powered and kicked in the Face a lot Before Kravchenko is stabbed by woods. Kravchenkos last Breathe was to pull a pin of a grenade, Woods Grabs him and throws them, both out of a Office window, Leaveing Mason as the only Member of his team to Survive. A letter in Kravchenko's office says that Steiner is overseeing Nova 6. Mason gets onto the Island that Nova Gas i being Held at by Being in a Create, The Create is set down and Mason Slips out of it killing a Worker with his Tomahawk proceeding to the lab that Nova 6 is held in. Steiner is contacting Hudson, desperately asking them to hurry up and extract him from the island, Mason Confronts Steiner and Steiner is shocked that Mason was able to reach him all by himself.
Hudson and Weaver are able to make it to the Lab trying to shot the glass to break in, But the Glass is bullet proof so they get a Creat and break the glass too late. Steiner was killed.
After witnessing the events from Hudson's perspective, it is finally revealed that Reznov is a figment of Mason's imagination, and he is the one actually executing Steiner. As stated above, they break the bulletproof glass and enter the room too late, as Mason shoots Steiner in the head, and then he shoots Weaver in the arm when Weaver tries to apprehend him. Hudson then tackles and disarms Mason, Mason punches Hudson in the face, forcing Hudson to pistol-whip Mason, rendering him unconscious. With Steiner dead, they leave the island with Mason as their only link to the numbers, leading to his interrogation.
Following his apprehension by Hudson and Weaver at Rebirth Island, Mason is interrogated ruthlessly. With Steiner's death, Mason is their only link to the numbers station and the impending Nova 6 attack by People all over the United States as the President is ready to Launch a Nuclear Missile at Soviet Russia. he starts to Remeber the Brainwashing and Realizes what the Numbers mean (A cargo Ship) Rusalka
Mason, Hudson, and Weaver raid the Rusalka, located in waters southwest of Cuba. In the cargo ship's hold, they discover an antenna with a tether leading into the depths of the ocean. While a U.S. Navy fleet is en route to destroy the Rusalka, Mason insists on entering the submerged numbers station to kill Dragovich once and for all. After fighting through the numbers station as it comes under fire, Mason finds the console controlling the numbers broadcasts and attempts to deactivate it, but is knocked away by Dragovich. Hudson comes to Mason's aid, distracting Dragovich and allowing Mason to pull him down. Mason strangles Dragovich, then escapes the imploding numbers station with Hudson. With the station destroyed and Dragovich dead.
