So I just thought I'd share a little app I personally use when developing.
Interstate is a great little system for keeping track of planned features, updates and general tasks. It allows you set up 'roadmaps' for your projects in which you can add routes and roads. Routes are generally groups or sections of progress such as Design, Development, Deployment. While roads can be used for more specific tasks such as "Add follow system" or "Clean up profile layout". How in-depth you go is entirely up to you.
Interstate also allows multiple users on projects meaning it's pretty awesome for a dev team in that everyone can just update their little bits whenever.
