What...? Make a devkit? No... that's not possible...

You can still use a JTAG offline, that would be your best bet.

Dev kits are not made by anyone other than Microsoft. You can purchase one from Shark here on TTG (trusted seller in the Marketplace), but even w/ one...you still can't connect to XBL.

A JTAG is going to be your best option. You can still enjoy mods offline w/o having to break the bank. You can find tuts all over TTG on how to tag an exploitable box, or check the marketplace to buy one.

Trust me...there's still plenty of exploitable boxes and JTAGs around.

In terms of RROD, even XDKs are subject to this. They still use the same motherboard's as retail/JTAG units. Sure...you can get a Slim XDK, but you're going to be spending in the $700 range to get one. Does $700 sound like a sound investment for offline Halo mods?

If you are overly concerned w/ RROD issues...just search for an exploitable Jasper unit. They're about as safe as a slim, and can be picked up at a fraction of the cost of a Slim XDK.

Ultimately your choice and your cash though. Just don't want you to get something that might be an overkill for what you are wanting to accomplish.
