Welcome To Pizzaloco/Goonzy's Mega Rezurrection Thread!
In this thread we will post all news/theories/videos/opinions of the new Rezurrection Map Pack that will be on the map Moon. Please feel free to comment anything you know relating to the Map Pack. We will be trying our hardest to get the easter egg on youtube first and give as much info as we can on the map. We have been stickied before for the Ascension easter egg and hope to get stickied for this one.

Info on Rezurrection so far:
Basic Info
The "Rezurrection" Map pack will be 1200 msp ($15 or 9 pounds) unless you have the hardened or prestige edition of Black Ops, then it is free. It will be released first on the Xbox Live Marketplace on August 23 and later on other gaming platforms sometime in September. It will be a first for the Call of Duty Series being an only Zombie map pack. It will consist of five maps which include a new map called "Moon" and the four original maps from Call of Duty: World At War, all redone and remastered for Black Ops standards, including: weapons and graphics. The Map pack was announced on August 3rd and has been blowing up on the internet (As usual for a CoD Map Pack). There will also be an enhanced zombie soundtrack along with three unreleased tracks and a Moon theme for the Xbox 360 Dashboard.

How They Got There
My Theory:
This is the question a lot of people are probably asking and i'm pretty stumped as well. This is my thought process. The Items you get must lead to the new easter egg, the items being the "Golden Rod", which was discovered on Call of the Dead and the "Focusing Stone", which was found in Shangri-La. One being a spiritual item known irl as a "Vrill Generator" and the other being what looks to be a meteorite that is full of element 115 which is supposedly "powering" the Wonder Weapons. So My final answer is: Idk the only other idea I have is maybe you aren't the original characters which probably isn't true.

What Does The Wave Gun Do?
My Theory:
Well from the various sites I have visited looking for the answers to this question I found this in many of them
Wave Gun, capable of cooking zombies from the inside outwhich makes me think that it is something that you shoot into the zombie then explodes, kind of like a crossbow. Also the weapon looks as if it were a mix between the ray gun and the Freeze gun from five.

I believe this theory was thought of by the Syndicate Project on Youtube and his theory was that there was some sort of weapon that shot up from Earth, hit the moon, then came back to earth and destroyed all zombies.

Sorry it's so blurry. It was a very small image.
1. A deep hole. Possibly used for a trap.
2. A cave. Looks like maybe a landing site or a retractible bridge of some sort.
3. A large building most likely enterable.

Just when you thought it was safe to start shelving your copy of "Call of Duty: Black Ops" in preparation for "Modern Warfare 3," Activision has announced that another map pack is on the way. Titled "Resurrection," the pack is scheduled for release in September for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. The news was revealed as part of Activision's second quarter earnings reports.
"Resurrection" is the fourth map pack, following "First Strike," "Escalation" and "Annihilation." Each of those packs included four multiplayer maps and a new zombie map, for a price of $15, so it's safe to say that formula will continue for this new pack. The name does, however, imply that it'll resurrect old maps in the series...something that none of the "Black Ops" map packs have really done.
It could also simply be the wide release of the original "World at War" zombie maps, which, up until now, were only available in "Black Ops" for those who purchased the $80 Hardened edition of the game. Given that those maps already exist and would require no development work whatsoever, they'd be an easy way to get another map pack out without expending any resources. It would be a disappointment, though, given how much effort Treyarch has put into the "Black Ops" map packs thus far.
Unfortunately details are pretty scarce about the "Resurrection" map pack at present, beyond the fact that it's coming in September for all platforms. We'll have more information as it develops, including the contents, price and precise release date for the pack, so stay tuned.

1oS: Will we learn any new tidbits of backstory from Moon? We already know Der Riese is where they come from, but is there more to tell?
JIMMY ZELINSKI: If your question is to ask me if our zombies are from Der Riese, this would be a good opportunity to re-explore the WAW maps to search for further clues as to the truth behind the origins of the zombies. As to Moon specifically, of course there will be clues to the past and other story elements, but dont be surprised to discover a few hints as to what may be coming in the future.
1oS: Whats a phasing Zombie?
JZ: I dont know. Where have you seen a phasing zombie? Who have you been talking to? Whats this word phasing youre using?
1oS: How does the Quantum Entanglement Device work?
JZ: The answer to what the QED can do can be found in the research of Einstein, Kaluza, Plancke and Klein. That would suggest the possibilities are limitless. Get in the game, throw it out there, and see what it will do FOR YOU.
