I'm trying to restore my ipod touch, it won't connect to the computer.

It is jailbroken but it was shut off..

I heard this can be fixed by holding the top button and the home button for a decent time until you see the apple logo and then plug your iPod into your computer.

plug your ipod into your computer, then put it into DFU mode. thats what i had to do when my jailbroken ipod wouldn't connect or even turn on.

Try it plugged in or you should just let it sit for five to te minutes and it might work.
