So i am doing some file transfering to my JTAG from a external USB Drive and in a hour it transfered 57GB which would be 950MB/min, and 15.8mb/s

Anybody know anything about the xbox 360's transfer rate and what it is capable of?

I know the xbox 360 has a 800mhz GPU and a Triple core 3.2GHZ IBM CPU

GPU= Graphics Processing Unit So i dont think that that would have anything to do with transfer speed. Speed is better on PS3 but the 360 is pretty fast. But then again your doing a direct transfer not a cloud download.

Whatever mood the Xbox is in that day...

Sometimes my box will transfer a 7GB game in about 5 min...other times it takes 45 min.

Xbox is USB 2.0...so it's not going to be as fast as alot of other things, but it still manages to do the job decently enough. I'm sorry for not having specific specs. For my box at least...it seems to vary quite a bit.

The transfer speed depends on your internet connection.

Ask your parents what speeds you have per second, and then maybe double it and that's the speed it'll transfer at.

I say parents because if you had the contract you'd know your own speeds.

He said he was transfering from a USB Although in fairness, I get faster transfer rates from FTP than USB, maybe it's worth giving it a go?

I seen transfer speeds and Jtag, automatically thought ftp lol

Never seen anyone ask about usb transfer speeds, transfer speeds are pretty much stable on an Xbox 360,they may be improved on a Slim console compared to the old models, and may range from the motherboards too,a bit interesting,I'll look into it and get back to the O.P. Via pm.

USBs naturally have a much smaller transfer rate than HDDs.

When doing PC->HDD transfers, using FATXplorer, you can get up to 30 mb/sec.

Yeah you could get faster transfer rates through FTP if your router is capable of speeds over what USB 2.0 is rated...

And @iPatobo why do i need to ask my parents im 17 im a big boy i think i know how fast my internet is... lol its 30kb/s yeah! F'n slow as hell!
