zDaVee wrote ok this is my honest opinion.
i used to play on a flat screen 32 inch via HDMI and i found that there was a certain delay between when i moved the stick and how it corresponded with the movement in the game.

there for i researched the best tv to use for gaming then suddenly i came across some information. it said that the best tv to use for gaming isnt a tv, its a monitor.
so i went out and bought a VGA cable to connect to my 20 inch monitor and it is fantastic and u will see the difference straight away and the response time on it is perfect.

Hope i helped

wow, i had this exact same experience, i play on a monitor now and its instant movemant, but when i go to my friends house and play on his HDTV 60 inch i feel a lag between moving the joystick and when the player actually moves

There isn't really a specialised "gaming" TV.
The basics you need for a TV you can play games on are
1. HD
2. 1080i or 1080p
3. Size (Don't want it being to big or to small)
4. Sound (Crystal clear sound is always an advntage for online gaming)
5. Surround sound (this is a good investment because you can hear enemy's footsteps coming from behind you)
6. Price (you don't want to be spending a fortune)

What room are you planning on getting it in?

My room..and do Tv's come in 1080p or i when their smaller than 30 inches?

Bedroom?
And yes they do.
My TV in my bedroom is a Bush 26inch and has brilliant picture and sound quality
If you are from the UK simular sizes are around £200-£300
You can buy one's in Tesco 26inches with a built in PVR (Like a Dazzle capture card)
